ANTIMICROBIAL TUBING
Eldon James Flexelene Silver tubing incorporates the natural protection of silver, which prevents the growth of a broad range of microorganisms that can cause odours, effect taste and lead to product deterioration.
Flexible polyethylene tubing is co-extruded with a thin antimicrobial layer of silver on the inner surface of the tubing. Eldon James antimicrobial protected tubing is designed to offer protection in inhibiting microbial colonization on the tubing’s inner surface thus preventing the formation of bacteria, fungi, mould and mildew.
Flexelene Silver tubing is produced with compounds that are listed by NSF International Standards 51 & 61 and are in compliance with the requirements of FDA 21 CFR 175.105.
The tubing is compatible with both barb and push-in style fittings, is significantly more flexible than standard polyethylene tubing, is impact resistant at low temperatures, has excellent ozone resistance, contains no plasticizers and is silicon free. The tube has a range of sizes from 1/16” to 1” ID and 1/8” to 5/8” OD.
Applications that may benefit from the use of Eldon James antimicrobial Flexelene Silver tubing include pure water transfer, water purification, beverage lines, dairy lines, biotech sciences, pharmaceutical and food dispensing systems.
A complete range of antimicrobial fittings are available to support this range of tubing.
